Tips For Preparing For The Notarization Appointment

1. Complete the Document: Ensure all necessary information is filled out before meeting the notary to avoid delays.

2. Verify Identity: Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to prove your identity to the notary.

3. Don't Sign in Advance: Wait until you're in the presence of the notary to sign the document. They need to witness your signature.

4. No Blank Spaces: Fill in all blanks on the document to prevent any alterations after notarization.

5. Understand the Document: Read through the document and understand its content before the notarization appointment.

6. Avoid Staples and Tape: Don't use staples, tape, or any other method that could cover or obscure text, as it might raise suspicions of tampering.

7. Witnesses if Required: If the document requires witnesses, have them present at the notarization to sign as well.

8. Be Present: You must be physically present with the notary to acknowledge the document.

9. Be Truthful: Be honest with the notary about the content and purpose of the document.
